Salida’s Brewers Rendezvous

Salida‘s Brewers Rendezvous is set for Saturday, July 14 in Riverside Park.    VIP tasting starts at noon with general admission from 1:00 to 5:00.  Live music will be offered as well as more than 70 brewers.  This will be the 22nd year for the festival.  If you haven’t been to Salida‘s Brewers Rendezvous, you should give it a shot.

The event this year will also feature a “Pre-Vous” the night before the festival. At the Pre-Vous, 20 breweries will offer exclusive brews that won’t be available the following day.

“For home brewers or people who want a smaller crowd or more intimate experience to chat with brewers, it’s a lovely opportunity,” said Lori Roberts, executive director of Heart of the Rockies Chamber of Commerce.  The Pre-Vous is limited to 150 people and costs $35 to attend. It will take place from 6-8:30 p.m. Friday at Salida SteamPlant, 220 W. Sackett Ave.

For Brewers Rendezvous, general admission costs $45. For that price festivalgoers get unlimited refills in their 5-ounce taster cups. The festival switched last year from pint glasses with a 5-ounce mark to the industry-standard taster glasses.

A limited number of commemorative pint glasses will still be for sale.

For $110, attendees can get a VIP experience. In addition to an extra hour of drinking, VIPs will have a shaded lounge area, private restrooms, chilled sparkling water and a chair massage, and they’ll also receive vouchers for a T-shirt and a meal from one of the five food vendors at the event.

Gosar Ranch Natural Foods, 50 Burger, Stuft Food Truck, Whitewater Wraps and Sonny’s Food Truck will all be at the event.

Non-drinking tickets for $15 are available for designated drivers and those ages 16-20 who want to visit the food vendors and listen to the music.

The rendezvous is expecting 3,000 attendees.
